The patient: Pixie, French Bulldog<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pixie is a 11-year old female French Bulldog, intact, and weighing 24 pounds. She has a history of spondylosis and joint disease, and is currently taking both Librela and gabapentin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pixie\u2019s owner tries to keep her active, taking her on three 20-min walks every day. The intention is to provide her the needed exercise, while still keeping her comfortable and trying not to overdo it. Pixie is considered to have a low daily activity level, and a mostly outdoors lifestyle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A sudden decrease in Pixie\u2019s activity levels was flagged by the AI, leading our vet team to follow up with Pixie\u2019s owner. The owner initially reported that she was showing a considerable increase in water consumption. Pixie subsequently began urinating more frequently than usual and experiencing vomiting episodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A thorough diagnostic evaluation was recommended at this point. Regardless, the owner believed that Pixie’s symptoms would eventually pass, as she appeared to be happy and maintained her normal appetite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, a peculiar structure near the gallbladder was found during the ultrasound exam, suggesting the presence of a possible diverticulum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
